Why host a virtual event?

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to closely follow the guidance of our Bishop and our local health officials. As such, we have decided that for this Spring, it is still a bit too soon to hold our annual CCM Benefit Gala as an in-person event. However, the Virtual Event format will enable us to offer some of the very best elements of our annual gala, as well as some completely new things that are only made possible by technology!

How can I make a Silent Auction Donation?

Accepted Answer

For the auction to be successful, we need members of this community to partner with the ministry through providing items to be auctioned. We are looking for a variety of items at a variety of values, however they should all be items that could be auctioned as stand-alone items. Donated auction items are generally tax-deductible as in-kind donations at their fair-market value, receive a donation receipt from CCM, and auction item donors are graciously recognized in the auction listing (unless otherwise requested). Please complete the Auction Item Donation Form (undefined)and contact John Hopke at (757) 220-1415 or jhopke@wmccm.org to coordinate item pickup/drop-off.
 
Below are some examples of possible auction items:
 • Themed Gift Baskets (complete and ready for auction). Examples: Coffee Lover's Basket, Spa Day at Home, Artist's Starter Package
 • Outer Banks vacation home stay
 • River or mountain vacation home stay
 • Orlando destination vacation

 • Appliances (new in packaging)
 • High quality tools (new in packaging)

Accepted Answer

When you register for the event, you'll receive a Zoom link to access the live event. Make sure that you have downloaded the free Zoom app for your computer or device so that you can login on quickly and seamlessly!
